I don't think that anything is more frustrating than working in the economy as it is today. Between people who want to sell their houses and buy a new one, but can't sell their existing home, and people who want to start a business but are afraid to pull the trigger, this has been a frustrating year for sure. Mind you, I'm not making excuses. Getting to the finish line is my responsibility not the buyers. But I'm sure there have been easier times to do business!
I had another tough situation I had to deal with. One thing for sure, the young people I work with sometimes make mistakes. If I have learned anything working with young students, it's not making the mistakes that are critical, it's how you respond to the situation once the mistake is made. Sometimes it's just terrible trying to work through the solutions, and sometimes it's a geniune learning experience. This time it has been fairly constructive and positive. Hopefully the young man involved will learn a great lesson and the powers that be won't be too severe. But, that is out of my hands!
